The Mantis 7940A 4-Cycle Plus Tiller/Cultivator reimagines residential soil preparation by packing commercial-grade agricultural power into an agile, ultra-lightweight frame. Engineered by Mantis and proudly manufactured in the United States, this high-performance mini-tiller is specifically built to bypass the backbreaking labor of manual turning while outmaneuvering bulky, traditional front-tine rototillers. At its mechanical core sits a premium, high-displacement 25cc Honda commercial engine. Because this advanced powertrain operates on a true 4-cycle combustion sequence, it eliminates the messy hassle of mixing oil and gas, running significantly quieter and cleaner than standard 2-cycle alternatives while delivering immediate, high-torque performance on demand.

Designed to maximize soil fertility and aeration, the Mantis 7940A positions its engine directly over its proprietary U.S. steel tines, channeling the machine’s entire 24-pound dry weight downward to bite deep into hard-packed clay and rocky soils. The uniquely curved tines spin at a blistering maximum speed of 240 rpm, effortlessly cutting a clean 9-inch wide path down to a maximum tilling depth of 10 inches. For ultimate seasonal utility, the tine configuration features a clever 2-in-1 reversible architecture: use them in their primary position to aggressively dig new garden plots, or flip them around to transform the machine into a precision cultivator and high-speed power weeder. Complete with an integrated kickstand, vibration-dampening over-molded grips, and a fold-down handlebar assembly for seamless transport, this highly versatile system shifts gardening from an intensive chore into a fast, fatigue-free routine.

The Mantis 7940A 4-Cycle Plus Tiller/Cultivator bridges the gap between massive commercial machinery and nimble backyard yard tools. Firing up reliably on the very first pull, its high-efficiency transmission ensures that the engine’s output translates directly into aggressive soil-shredding performance rather than bouncing violently off hard ground. The ergonomic, flared wrist handles reduce joint strain during extended tilling sessions, making it easy to create pristine seedbeds or maintain clean, weed-free vegetable rows all season long. For passionate home gardeners, land managers, and landscaping hobbyists wanting a tough, long-lasting, and easily adaptable tool to cultivate fertile soil with absolute precision, this premium Mantis system delivers the raw rotational power, compact agility, and American-made durability required to elevate your harvest year after year.
