The EARTHQUAKE Victory Rear Tine Tiller Model 39381 is a compact yet powerful gas-powered tiller built for gardeners who need a single machine capable of both breaking new ground and maintaining established plots throughout the growing season. Powered by a 209cc 4-cycle Viper engine, it delivers serious sod-busting capability in a surprisingly manageable frame, with counter-rotating tines that spin in the opposite direction of the self-propelled drive wheels to create the opposing forces needed to aggressively attack previously untilled, compacted, or clay-heavy soil with confidence. The ability to till up to 10 inches deep and 16 inches wide in a single pass makes it genuinely efficient for creating new garden beds or thoroughly aerating and mixing existing soil to create a nutrient and air-rich seedbed for planting.
What sets the Victory apart from most rear-tine tillers in its class is the Instant Reverse system, a feature that eliminates the need for shifting when backing up at the end of a row or maneuvering in tight growing spaces. Simply pulling the reverse lever walks the unit backward effortlessly, making row-by-row garden work significantly faster and less physically demanding than conventional tillers that require the operator to muscle the machine around manually. The looped handlebars offer three height adjustment positions to accommodate different operator heights for an ergonomic working experience, and the balanced weight distribution and compact footprint allow for fluid navigation even in narrower garden rows or raised bed areas where larger tillers become unworkable.
Built entirely from steel with heavy-duty forged tines and a rugged bronze gear drive transmission, the Victory is constructed to handle years of hard use rather than a single season. The 13-inch pneumatic wheels provide stable, smooth travel across uneven garden ground, and an adjustable drag stake gives additional control over tilling depth depending on the task at hand. It is backed by a 5-year warranty and supported by a US-based customer experience team, making it a well-rounded investment for serious home gardeners who want a dependable, long-lasting tiller that performs across a wide range of soil conditions.
