The Coleman Power Steel 18 ft. x 48 in. Round Above Ground Pool Set is a family-sized backyard pool that strikes a practical balance between swimming space and manageable setup, offering 6,092 gallons of water capacity at 90 percent fill in a round design that fits comfortably in most standard backyards. Standing 48 inches tall with a maximum depth of 43 inches, it provides enough water depth for adults to wade and children to swim freely, making it a genuinely usable pool for the whole family rather than just a splash area for small children.
The Tritech enhanced 3-layer liner is one of the standout construction features, engineered to be 15 percent more tear resistant, 33 percent more stretch resistant, and 83 percent more puncture resistant than standard PVC liners found on competing pools at this price point. The outer liner features a realistic rattan print for an attractive exterior appearance, while the inner liner uses Coleman’s Prismatic Stone print that adds a rich blue color and textured visual depth to the pool interior. The corrosion-resistant steel frame is held together using Coleman’s ClickConnect joints with quick-click connectors that allow the entire pool to be assembled and taken down without any tools, making seasonal setup and storage genuinely straightforward.
Everything needed to start using the pool is included in the box, with a 1,500 gallon per hour filter pump, a Type III filter cartridge, a ladder for safe entry and exit, a pool cover for debris protection between uses, and a repair patch for minor liner issues. Priced at $498 with free shipping at Walmart, it offers strong value for an 18-foot steel frame pool with a full accessory kit. As with most large-volume above ground pools, buyers who want consistently clear water throughout the season may want to consider supplementing the included pump with a higher-capacity filtration unit for optimal water quality management.
