The Jackery Solar Generator HomePower 3600 Plus is a serious home backup power solution designed for homeowners who want reliable, silent, and maintenance-free protection against power outages without the cost and complexity of a permanent whole-home generator installation. At its core is a 3,584Wh LiFePO4 battery pack built with the same EV-grade cell chemistry trusted in electric vehicles, rated for 6,000 charge cycles and engineered to deliver dependable backup power for up to 16 years of regular use. With a 3,600W rated output and a 7,200W surge peak, a single unit powers essential 120V home appliances including refrigerators, portable air conditioners, coffee makers, internet routers, and smart home devices without interruption, and connecting two units together unlocks 240V output capable of running larger appliances like well pumps and dryers.
One of the HomePower 3600 Plus’s most compelling advantages is its UPS protection with less than 10 milliseconds of switchover time, meaning sensitive devices like home office equipment, security cameras, and AI assistants stay online automatically the moment grid power cuts out without any manual intervention required. Operating at just 30 decibels in quiet mode, roughly equivalent to a library, it runs day and night indoors without disturbing sleep or daily household activities. Built-in wheels and a retractable pull handle make it easy to move wherever power is needed, and the plug-and-play design requires zero installation for standby use. A full AC charge takes approximately 2.5 hours, and six different recharging methods are supported including AC wall power, solar panels, car charging, and hybrid combinations for maximum flexibility in any situation.
Available in multiple configurations ranging from the basic unit-only option to solar generator bundles pairing it with the SolarSaga 200W or SolarSaga 500 X panels, the HomePower 3600 Plus is also expandable up to 21kWh through additional battery packs, providing anywhere from 15 hours to 9 days of backup power depending on load and configuration. Up to nine devices can be powered simultaneously across four AC outlets, two USB-C ports at 100W each, two USB-A ports, and a NEMA TT-30 RV outlet. An optional Manual Transfer Switch connects it directly to home circuits for seamless switching, and the Jackery app provides real-time monitoring of power levels, charging status, and usage from a smartphone. It is backed by a 3-plus-2-year warranty for total peace of mind across five years of ownership.
